Mascara refers to any of a variety of cosmetic preparations for darkening, lengthening, curling, and/or thickening lashes.

-Start by selecting the best mascara for your lashes. Mascara ranges from malleable and subtle to dramatic and bold, depending on your unique preference.
-Start at the root of your lashes with the wand held vertically, then brush the wand horizontally through each lash. You can also use an up-and-down motion or switch between these motions as desired to create volume.
-Wiggle or curl the wand to reach every single lash inside its natural curve.
-Once the mascara wand is saturated with product, stop back over each lash to coat it individually.
-Wiggle the wand again to straighten any strands that are curled.
-To add length and style, apply additional mascara from the root of your lashes outward before beginning the process from the root again. There is no need to make a new application on each lash; you can use this method multiple times as desired.

Also, you should check for the dried out product around the edges of your wand and remove it with warm water. If all of the above check out, you will only be able to get a few more months out of your product.
If you notice that your formula has dried completely after 4 months, then it is time to switch to a new formula. Many people do not want to purchase a new mascara until they try and use up their old one, however, this can cause dry lashes and irritated eyes due to all of the excess formulae that were removed when cleansing the wand and removing the dried-out product.
